About Dr. Dale Chomas

Dr. Dale ChomasDr. Chomas' first attraction to Watsontown stemmed from its resemblance to his native Elizabeth, a small river town in southwestern Pennsylvania. After nearly twenty years in the area, the doctor feels the same as he did when he first set eyes on the Borough. Without hesitation, he ranks his decision to settle in the Susquehanna Valley as one of the best decisions of his life.

Dale Chomas and his wife Tamela were college sweethearts at West Virginia Wesleyan College. They were married while Dale was a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation in 1986, Dale accepted a position with a large group practice in the Southern Tier of New York. While in New York, their two children were born. Children grow up fast. Their daughter currently attends Misericordia University while their son continues at Warrior Run High School.

"Watsontown is a great place to raise a family - a place where I am proud to call home," Chomas states. Knowing, though, that towns are only as good as the people who live in them, Dale and Tam Chomas have always been active members of the community. In addition to their involvement with the Watsontown United Methodist Church, Dale serves as treasurer of the Watsontown Boy Scout Troop 610 and is a member of the Lion's Club, Masonic Lodge, and the Watsontown Area Business Association. He recently retired as Chairman of the Board of the Central Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of the American Red Cross of Upper Northumberland County. He continues to serve as an active member of their respective Boards. On most Sundays, Dale can be found in any number of local churches where he remains on the rather short list of substitute church organists.

In addition to his busy dental practice at 151 Main Street, Watsontown, he serves as the Dental Director for Kramm's Nursing Home in Watsontown and Riverwoods of Lewisburg. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Sun Area Vo-Tech Dental Assisting Program and is one of the school dentists for the Warrior Run School District.

They say that all work and no play makes for a rather dull boy…Dr. Chomas enjoys sharpening his wit at the monthly gathering of the Watsontown Area Society of Pinochle.
